What’s Colour (alias Tom Tom) is a superb homozygous tobiano stallion, 16.3 hh, born in 2003 by the great Samber, who needs no introduction to coloured horse enthusiasts. Samber is the only coloured stallion to be approved to date into the prestigious KWPN Studbook.
Tom Tom’s dam is by Mecenas, a beautiful stallion who combines strong Polish lines with two famous thoroughbred lines, The Fairway and Owen Tudor line ( 2x ). Out of these lines are issued the stallions Codex, Rantzau XX, Cor de la Bryere and Corporal and many more. His colour is by his dam line which is the famous Trakehner `Eva` line. This line is coloured since 1888. Before Mecenas died (too young), breeders and specialists considered him as the new trend in coloured breeding. He qualified for the Dutch Championships advanced level dressage when he was just 5 years old ! He was known for his beautiful presence, character, movements, talent and workability. Mecenas was approved by: - Polish Horsebreeders association - AES - Rheinisch pferde stambuch What’s Colour dam, Oraya, belongs to the Loma family. This family has been responsible for many international jumping and dressage horses. Currently this dam line has produced 27 approved stallions including Kigali (KWPN) Hattrick (KWPN) Omen Z, Al Dente (Westphalian), Lorenzo (AES) Farrington (KWPN) to name but a few. What’s Colour is an excellent model of a modern sports horse, rectangular with light footed movement. Most of all, this stallion has that elusive quality – expression, combined with a beautiful quality head. And, as an added bonus, he has the most enchanting temperament, very trainable and exceedingly sensible. TomTom is homozygous for the Tobiano and the black gene. `He will not produce chestnut and white!
